An individual is not a U.S. citizen until taking the Oath of Allegiance at a naturalization ceremony. After taking the Oath of Allegiance you will turn in your green card and receive your Certificate of Naturalization!
After your naturalization interview the USCIS will provide you with Form N-652, Naturalization Interview Results. It provides you with information about the results of your interview. The officer will either grant, continue, or deny your naturalization application after your naturalization interview.

What Happens After Filing N-400, Application for Naturalization?
Approximately 3 weeks after properly filing your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, you will receive a letter confirming receipt of your application. This letter is formally known as Form I-797C, Notice of Action.
Appointment Notice for Biometrics
Approximately 4 to 5 weeks after filing you’ll receive an appointment notice that assigns the date, time and location of your biometrics screening.
Approximately 6 to 8 weeks after filing your biometrics screening will be conducted.
How to Get Citizenship After Marriage to a U.S. Citizen
If you marry an U.S. citizen, you will not be able to apply for your own citizenship right away. First, you must obtain a green card and then ultimately apply for U.S. citizenship.
